About Louise
Louise Field
Passionate about food...
Lou has been passionate about food from an early age. The family kitchen was rarely without home baked biscuits and cakes. From the age of 7 Lou's father, who had an incredibly sweet tooth, paid her to ensure his biscuit tins were full of home baked goods.
Louise travelled the world playing professional tennis through her late teens and twenties and it was here that she was introduced to the foods of the world. When she was home between tennis circuits she would spend her relaxation time trying to replicate the foods she had enjoyed on her travels ensuring that both taste and nutrition were covered.
Having retired from tennis Louise studied and qualified as an osteopath.
Lou's interest in cooking has never wavered experimenting with ingredients and flavours. Her motto is to use the best ingredients possible and let them speak for themselves. Lou's kitchen is always open. She loves to feed people. There is always an abundance of delicious food that friends and family have become accustomed to expect when they visit.
Lou caters for all her family celebrations but it wasn't until a friend insisted that she cater her fathers wake that she realised that if she opened her doors there would be more people to cook for and thus the inception of 'Lou's Kitchen'.
